You're a business owner.

We've just met. Someone recommended me so you check out my website.

Let's say someone gave you $500 and gave you two options for spending that money.

Option 1: A packaged up DIY marketing strategy with a step-by-step instructions and implementation plan that "guarantees" you an instant $10,000 in sales.

Option 2: 3 hours of time together with me to review your business model, performance, offers, pricing, marketing, sales etc. and a set of recommendations on how to align all of these and get a "clean" business model that will set you up for growth.

Which one do you choose?

9 times out of 10, most people would choose #1.

Despite the general experience that packaged solutions like this just don't work for the vast majority of people, and are too simplistic to be effective in your own business, people really like the idea of something "in a box", and we just can't help but be persuaded by the guarantee. Or the testimonials.

It feels like a safe purchase if so many others bought in. I get it. I've given in to that before as well, only to have the same experience that 99% of others did. It just wasn't effective for me.

I had a client once tell me that although she knew she wanted to work together and that our work is 100% what she needed (we had known each other for a long time), she admitted she would probably be drawn to purchase (instead) a $30K packaged up solution if it was sold to her at a big enrolment event.

Even though she knew it wouldn't likely get her the results and that she wouldn't be likely to do the work.

That, my friends, is the power of marketing.

That is the power of having someone know exactly which triggers to push to appeal to our need for safety, assurance, and hope.

The irony is that those solutions consider nothing about you or your business. So the assurance is actually far less than if you have a seasoned expert who has broad experience and a personalized approach sit down and solve your problems - quickly and effectively - so you can feel much more confident about where you're going.

So how do I solve this sales problem without falling into the trap of disingenuous marketing and misaligned models?

Sure, I could recite to you my extensive credentials:

But that doesn't speak to results, which you crave for assurance.

Or I could give you testimonials from my happy clients.

But those clients aren't you... what if I don't know your particular industry?

And what if I just give you plans and not results?

Or what if I don't get you?

Or what if a thousand other things that are helping you stay in indecision?

I totally get it. It's a big decision and you want to know it's the right one.

I will never promise you specific financial results because I know that so many other things contribute to you getting there, and many are not in my control.

I can promise you a clear path to specific results, once I know your business, because I know we can find that. And I can support you in your execution.

But you (and your team) still have to do the work and be committed to the outcome.

So how do I position this work to help you feel confident in your decision?

Two ways. First, by focusing on what I CAN promise.

I can promise you a few things:

And second, by helping you understand the pillars I draw upon to ensure we are considering everything.

This gives me a "framework" without it being prescriptive and limiting.

I can even show you the result of this work, in a lovely visual format.

But at the end of the day, none of this counts unless we can create connection.

You trust me. I trust you.

And we are aligned in our desires for a successful outcome.
